Scheduled deliveries are generally tasks that are routine and are scheduled to occur each day, such as meals, clean linen delivery, soiled linen pick-up, supply re-stocking activity, and waste removal. On-Demand deliveries, also referred to as ''over-flow'' or ''ad-hoc'' deliveries, are tasks that occur more randomly and typically not scheduled in advance. Examples of on-demand deliveries are first-med requests, supply stock-outs, late meal requests, and lab specimen deliveries.
