1-2-3 Implementation

One of the best features of TUG®, Aethon’s Automated Robotic Delivery System (ARD), is how easy it is to install. The implementation process for TUG begins with a kick-off meeting at the facility where the Aethon and hospital teams plan the implementation of TUG. Although the implementation is easy, Aethon provides a project manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the installation. The installation typically takes three months and can be broken down into three easy steps:

1. Map: Import CAD diagram of hospital and verify CAD using a mapping robot (if CAD is not available Aethon will use mapping robot exclusively).

2. Wire: Install Home Base, Elevator Controller, automatic door openers and verify TUG communications and VPN.

3. Run: Verify TUG operation on routes and destinations and train staff on the use of TUG.
