How It Works

TUG®, Aethon’s automated delivery and optional asset tracking and recovery solution, is an autonomous mobile robotic system, also referred to as an Automated Robotic Delivery System (ARD). TUG automates the delivery and tracking of most hospital equipment and supplies such as dietary trays, medications, linens, blood samples, medical records, pharmacy drugs, or IV pumps. The system helps hospitals streamline internal supply chain operations so that nurses and clinical staff can focus less on mundane tasks and more on providing the important human component of patient care.

Available 24/7 and never needing a break, TUG is a rugged, reliable, cost-effective solution that features Aethon's patented navigation technology to ensure deliveries are accurately made. With TUG, hospitals experience substantial benefits including increased patient care, employee and patient satisfaction, and notable return on investment.
