TUG®, Aethon’s Automated Robotic Delivery System (ARD), never loses its way because its patented navigation system is the most robust and proven technology ever used, operating in more than 100 hospitals nationwide over the past five years. TUG uses infrared sensors, called light whiskers®, as well as other sensing technologies to continuously locate its position as it travels through hospital facilities. The on-board computer contains a pre-programmed map of the hospital that tells TUG where to go and how to get there. Over two million deliveries have been made reliably and safely over the past five years and our customers currently make more than 130,000 deliveries per month on a continual basis.
